SpeedFuelRates (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This App is a free, ad-supported service provided for informational purposes.

1. Information Collection and Use

To provide "fuel near me" services and support the app through advertising, we use:

Location Data: We access your device’s location to identify nearby fuel stations. This data is processed in real-time on your device and is not stored by us.
Device Identifiers: We use mobile advertising identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID or iOS IDFA) to facilitate ad delivery.

2. Non-Personalised Advertising

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. We have configured the App to serve Non-Personalised Ads (NPA) only.

How NPA works: These ads are not based on your past behaviour or interests. Instead, they are targeted using contextual information, such as the content of the App or your general geographical location.
Technology Used: Although these ads are non-personalised, Google AdMob still requires the use of cookies or mobile identifiers for essential technical purposes, including frequency capping (to ensure you don't see the same ad too many times), combatting fraud and abuse, and aggregated ad reporting.
Consent: In accordance with UK and EEA regulations, we use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform to obtain your permission for these essential technical identifiers.

3. Third-Party Data Providers

Our App displays mapping and fuel data derived from the following sources:

UK Government Fuel Finder: Public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
Land & Property Services (LPS): Northern Ireland mapping data.
Office for National Statistics (ONS) & Ordnance Survey (OS): Geographical and postcode data.
OpenStreetMap: © OpenStreetMap contributors.

These providers do not collect personal data from you through our App.

4. Data Security & Retention

We do not maintain user accounts or store personal profiles on our servers. Any identifiers used by our advertising partners are managed according to Google’s privacy standards.

5. Your Rights & Opt-Out

You have the right to withdraw your consent for ad-related identifiers at any time. You can do this via the "Update Ad Consent" button within the App's Privacy tab. You may also withdraw consent and stop all data processing by uninstalling the App. Additionally, you can reset your advertising identifier in your phone’s system settings.

7. Data Accuracy & Availability

Our fuel price data is sourced from third-party public records and is updated periodically. However:

Informational Purpose: All prices and locations are provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee that the prices shown match the actual prices at the pump.
Outdated Data: We make every effort to exclude stations with data issues or old price data, but we are not liable for inaccuracies.
User Responsibility: Users are encouraged to verify prices at the station before purchasing fuel. We are not responsible for any costs or losses incurred due to reliance on information provided by the App.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal data, we will delete it immediately from our records.
